VOYAGEUR’S OVERSEAS OPERATIONS
With operations spanning the globe, the majority of
Voyageur’s overseas operations support the provision of security and
infrastructure for disadvantaged communities throughout the world.
Voyageur and its employees take great pride in Voyageur’s small role in
providing assistance for these communities in most need.
The Overseas Experience
Voyageur employees travel the world, experience different
cultures and traditions, while operating in a safe environment with
living accommodations maintained to Canadian standards
Equipment
Voyageur operates Bombardier CRJ, Dash 8-300, and Dash 7
aircraft on overseas operations. On-site Canadian licensed maintenance
engineers maintain all aircraft to Canadian standards.
Safety
The success of Voyageur’s overseas operations is rooted
in Voyageur’s reputation for safe operations. Our customers absolutely
demand the highest level of safety commitment and continually audit our
operations to ensure compliance.
WAGE PREMIUM
Voyageur
overseas employees earn a wage premium of 2.35 times their normal
domestic wage for time spent overseas.
Flexibility of Rotation Schedules
Voyageur asks its overseas employees to commit to a
minimum average of six months at the overseas location per year. The
base rotation schedule is 8 weeks overseas, 8 weeks off. However,
Voyageur works with employees to develop a rotation schedule that works
best for the employee. Since wage is directly tied to time spent
overseas, some employees may wish to work more than 6 months overseas
per year. Requests for extended rotations are normally accommodated.
Live Anywhere
Employees can live anywhere during their time off from
the overseas location. Whether it be a big city or a small home town,
Voyageur provides the airline transportation between the overseas
location and your city of residence.
JOB SECURITY
Voyageur
will soon celebrate is 40th consecutive year of operations.
Few aviation companies in Canada offer the consistency of service and
ongoing success that Voyageur has benefited from. Continued growth and
financial stability are hallmarks of Voyageur’s continued reputation
within the aviation industry.
Benefits
Voyageur
offers employees and employees’ families extensive benefits. Extended
health care benefits include dental, vision, prescription drugs,
hearing, out-of-country insurance, orthotic devices, semi-private
hospital, and more. Other benefits include life and disability
insurance, retirement pension, and a number of other employee assistance
programs.
